Pink Ladies of Zaire

By Lynda Kohn

The Pink Ladies is a voluntary charitable organization in Zaire, dedicated to doing their best to reunite abducted children with their parents or caregivers. Despite its name of Pink Ladies, the group is nothing to do with breast cancer. I am unfamiliar if South Africans connect the color pink with breast cancer.

I do know the Pink Ladies are totally non discriminatory n who they help. It includes both children, parents, csregivers. They never turn any mother, father down.

There are photos of the kids they helped. If one goes to the "Our Angels" link one can see there are girls and boys of various ethnic and religious inclusions.

Plus there is never a charge for what they do. The wmen do their work for the love of uniting families together.
The charity is completely registered with the laws of charities in their nation.

They don't say how they perform their mission. One needs to register first for that information. Fortunately registration is free and confidential. They claim they don't give out registration info due to safety issues.

Their contact information, including their phone number is lsted on their "contact us" link. The contact man's name is there too. I thought it was kind of strange the main person is a man when the group is named "Pink Ladies"

Lastly the link page shosw graphics of many other charitable organizations. The graphics include alt tages to make the site more accessible for people with disabilities. As a disability advocate I like that.

I am a disability advocate in Phila, PA. My blog entree on the Medicaid Safety act was listed in 2008 number one in the Google blog directory under that topic. Plus I've shown my artwork in various galleries in Phila, local suburbs and NYC. I've been doing disability advocacy since the late 70s in Philadelphia, PA and suburbs. My mental health stigma Squidoo site can be seen at http://disabilityinfo.hostcell.net/MHStigma.htm My disability site is at http://disabilityinfo.hostcell.net/index.htm Blog http://societyfordaintydamsels.wordpress.com Two self proclaimed etiquette experts, dear friends,Auntie carol and Lady Lynda. Lady Lynda's gentleman friend is Seymour Toze who loves Lady Lynda in her open toed spiked heels. With exotic, sensual Black Orchid and earthy Wanda Lust. I work as a disability advocate for Chestnut Place Rehab. This Sept. 2011 we plan to be celebrating our 20th year.

Sounds like a good cause. We can worry, stew, debate, and complain, but none of it means anything unless we take steps to do something like these ladies.
