Making a deodorizing skin oil.

First this is one recipe for a deodorizing skin oil. It is not the only way to make it. There are most likely many ways to create such a substance. Below is my way.

The basics are these. There are two one must be concerned with when creating a deodorizing skin oil. Each are equally important. There is the issue of preventing and drying up perspiration. There's the problem too of unpleasant body odor caused by excessive sweating. The medical term is hyperhidrosis. Both of these must be resolved

One of the best methods in dealing with extra perspiration is the use of an astringent. An astringent is something that is drying. In other words it dries up perspiration. One of the most effective herbals for this is common sage. Sage is so strong it can even be used for night sweats caused either by menopause or other illnesses.

On a personal note, my hubby was bothered by such heavy night sweats he constantly, literally soaked the bed and couch as he fluctuated from bed to couch and back again. The use of a compress soaked with sage helped eliminate his night sweats. It stopped the symptom, but not the disease.

For the record he was later diagnosed with a bone marrow disease and received hospital treatment for it. If one is suffering from night or nocturnal night sweats is to see a
health professional. It may be a sign of a serious illness

The second concern is the unpleasant smell. There are several ways to deal with this. One of my favorite is lavender oil. Lavender fragrance can be uplifting to many people. Plus it is a natural mood elevator and relaxant. It's considered an antidepressant in aromatherapy

A squeeze of fresh lemon is recommended since lemon, or any citrus for that matter, helps with sweating. It too possesses anti oxidant qualities.

One final ingredient besides the carrier oil may be chlorophyll. One property of this substance responsible for the green color of many plants is a natural deodorizer. It is capable of eliminating the odor of body fluids. There are antioxidant and even suppress growth of cancer cells.

The mixture itself begins with grapeseed oil. Grapeseed oil is a very strong antioxidant with many health benefits.
The oil can be purchased in most health food stores. If there is no such business near by, use olive oil.

The oil should be poured into a glass container. The size depends on how much you want to make. There is no right or wrong here.

Take one ounce of powdered sage and three drops of lavender oil. Let them dissolve them in the oil. Take one medium sized lemon. Gently squeeze lemon juice into the mix.

It is important not to use too many drops of lavender oil since practically every essential oil is rather strong. Utilize only enough for a pleasant smell. It should not be overpowering. There should be a subtle fragrance. Put in a few drops of chloraphyll. Shake until mixed together

Voila there it is, a deodorizing body oil that helps eliminate excessive sweat and leaves the skin smelling fresh, deodorizing and wondrously fragrant. It feels wondrously soothing too.
